Thank you for your interest in The Sleep Judge scholarship. The scholarship will not be available in 2019, but we are reevaluating the possibility of bringing it back for future years. Congratulations to our past winners. 

Sleep is a crucial element to health and wellness and in today’s world of busy schedules, school workloads and glowing screens, often sleep is something that is ignored.

With the high costs of education, The Sleep Judge’s State of Sleep Scholarship aims towards the goal of helping individuals offset some of the costs of their studies and provide more awareness around the importance of sleep.

Each student who is awarded The Sleep Judge State of Sleep Scholarship will be given $1,500 toward their university or college fees. The scholarship is awarded one time every year.

The scholarship is open to all students in North America who meet the eligibility criteria. Canadian students who receive the scholarship will be awarded $2000 CAD (which is the rough equivalent of $1,500 USD).

Eligibility

  • Current high school (or home-schooled) seniors attending school in the United States or Canada OR current college students already studying at an accredited U.S. or Canadian post-secondary institution
  • U.S. or Canadian citizens
  • Anticipating completion of high school diploma at time of application or already in possession of high school diploma / GED
  • Planning to or already currently pursuing a degree at an accredited U.S. or Canadian post-secondary institution
  • Carrying a minimum 3.00 GPA or equivalent grade average

**If you cannot find The Sleep Judge’s scholarship listed on your university’s or college’s website, please ask the financial aid office to list our scholarship.**

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this scholarship renewable?

No, it’s a single semester scholarship. New scholarships are available each year, but past winners cannot apply again.

How many scholarships are available and how much will I receive if I win?

One scholarship is available worth $1500 USD.

Are Canadians Eligible?

Yes. Canadian scholarships can be awarded as well and are worth $2000 CAD.

How is the winner determined?

Winners are chosen by The Sleep Judge’s sole discretion.

When will the winner be selected and how will the be notified?

Winners will be chosen November 15th of every year. If the winner doesn’t respond within 3 days, we will choose another applicant. Winners will be notified via the email provided.

What about eligibility verification?

Scholarship winners will need to verify that they meet the eligibility requirements.

Can I mail in a paper application?

No.

How can the scholarship be used?

The funds may be use for tuition at an accredited university or used to cover other educational expenses at an accredited university.

Does it Cost anything to apply?

Applying is absolutely free.
