My preferences and situation are utterly different. Lifelong habit is windows open all year. No central supply to the bedroom. Antique electric blankets would, if you turned them on early, make the bed pretty sweet to climb into. But when the last one croaked I began on a journey of heated mattress cover, government-specified blankets that came out of the box inadequate and failed soon after. Climbing into an icy bed was an abomination. In some forum where everyone was grousing about blankets, Bedjet was mentioned. I found a source and bought one–and I’m not rich.
I discovered I could start it with the app from downstairs. All well, but in a couple of nights I realized I could pull up the icy covers, hit the turbo, and in seconds a glorious warm wind was defeating the cold. The feet, which I hadn’t even realized were cold, noticed first and were delighted. Although the app is a mighty work, I now almost always use the remote. I revel in that five minutes of turbo and then manually turn on a 20 minutes of low. I like the sensation from the Bedjet so much that I don’t leave it on continuously. If I wake up needing a little warmth I enjoy the power of getting what I want at a click. Price of a nice laptop. About the best money I ever spent.
Hint for new users: The battery supplied in the remote is a limp Chinese item that may have been in storage a while. A new one bought from Lowe’s gave me a great improvement in positive operation.
