Top 8 Best Linen Sprays

I chose these based on their popularity, user reviews, and scents. These sprays work great on bedding and sheets, even new ones!

1. DRMTLGY Natural Lavender Linen and Room Spray – Editor's Choice

Highlights

  • Price Range: $10 – $15
  • Quantity: 8 fl. oz.
  • Scents: lavender/green tea

Pros

  • Versatile use.
  • Natural ingredients.
  • Not tested on animals.

Cons

  • The sprayer pump can be faulty.

By now, everyone knows about lavender’s soothing properties. DRMTLGY’s lavender linen and room spray blend lavender, chamomile, and witch hazel to create a relaxing and sleep-friendly environment. The non-toxic and eco-friendly formula is safe around the house, and the light lavender scent creates a calm atmosphere.

I love that this makes any piece of fabric smell fresh. You can use it on your throw pillows, that blanket you cover yourself up with while working at your desk, and even your towels. It makes me feel like I’m getting extra value for the money.

2. Febreze Fabric Spray – Runner Up

Highlights

  • Price Range: $10 – $15
  • Quantity: 2 x 27 fl. oz.
  • Scents: coastal/fresh/passion fruit

Pros

  • Strong and pleasant scents.
  • Two bottles included.
  • Long-lasting aromas.

Cons

  • The formula is not hypoallergenic.

Febreeze will always be a respectable brand for making your house smell nice, so it’s natural for me to add their linen spray to the list. You get a pack of two products, each bottle offering a different scent. If you like the smell of tropical fruit, I’d suggest going with the combo that offers a bottle of Paradise spray. The smell of passion fruit is de-licious!

Aside from having some of the most pleasant scents on the market, Febreeze also focuses on the long-lasting aroma. This is the product you can spray on the carpets and expect a fresh scent that sticks to the fabric.

3. Brookethorne Naturals Store – Best for Sleep

Highlights

  • Price Range: $10 – $15
  • Quantity: 4 fl. oz.
  • Scents: lavender and peppermint/lavender

Pros

  • Natural mosquito repellent.
  • The scent is both fresh and soothing.
  • Works as a room mist too.

Cons

  • The scent doesn’t last long.

Designed to be a calming room and linen spray, this little gem right here brings the soothing aroma of lavender and combines it with the fresh smell of peppermint. This non-toxic and safe-for-the-family spray is made with pure essential oils and contains no artificial fragrances. It’s also paraben-free, cruelty-free, and made in small batches in the USA.

In case you didn’t know, lavender essential oil is also one of the best natural mosquito repellents. If you often have this problem, you can use this scent to keep these nasty blood suckers away.

4. Aromasong Eucalyptus & Wild Mint Pillow Spray – Best Pillow Mist

Highlights

  • Price Range: $5 – $10
  • Quantity: 4 fl. oz.
  • Scents: eucalyptus and wild mint

Pros

  • Very fresh scent.
  • Safe for kids and pets.
  • Made with natural ingredients.

Cons

  • The bottle runs out fast.

Spraying your pillow with a mixture of eucalyptus and wild mint can help you relax and unwind in no time while also erasing any lingering mental tension. That’s where Aromasong’s spray comes in. Before use, give it a good shake, then hold it 4 to 6 inches away from your bedding and spray liberally.

Due to its natural formula, this spray is safe to use around children and pets, and it leaves your pillow smelling like you just washed it. The only bummer is that the bottle only holds 4 ounces of spray, so it will empty quickly if you use it every night.

5. Noodle and Boo Baby Laundry Essentials Ultra-Fresh Linen Mist – Best for Babies

Highlights

  • Price Range: $10 – $15
  • Quantity: 16 fl. oz.
  • Scents: vanilla

Pros

  • Hypoallergenic formula.
  • Great for sensitive skin.
  • Pediatrician-tested formula.

Cons

  • The sprayer can be a bit flimsy.

Noodle & Boo’s Baby Laundry Essentials Ultra-Fresh Linen Mist is a safe and natural way to keep your baby’s clothes smelling fresh. Made with plant-based formulas, this mist is non-toxic and clinically tested for sensitive skin. Basically, you can use this on all bedding and fabrics touching your baby’s skin without worrying about allergic reactions.

What I love is that you can also use it on other fabrics used by allergic people, so it doesn’t really matter if they’re adults or babies. I would have liked to see more scents, but I love vanilla, so I can’t complain much.

6. Ayadara Natural Fabric Spray – Longest Lasting Scent

Highlights

  • Price Range: $20 – $25
  • Quantity: 8 fl. oz.
  • Scents: lavender, tea tree, peppermint, and sage

Pros

  • Long-lasting scent.
  • Works on all fabrics.
  • Vegan formula.

Cons

  • Flimsy sprayer.

One of the things I’ve noticed about these linen sprays is that even the best, most natural, and most pleasant-smelling products don’t seem to last long. The scent, while pleasant, doesn’t linger. The Ayadara fabric spray, however, is a bit different. It does cost more than the other products I’ve shown you today, but you won’t feel the need to reapply it every hour.

The combination of ingredients might be weird to some since you get sage, lavender, and tea tree in this mixture. What I find notable is that you get more than 2,000 sprays out of a bottle that only holds 8 ounces of fluid. Could this be true?

7. Pre De Provence Maison French Lavender Blossom Linen Water Refill Bottle – Best Refill

Highlights

  • Price Range: $10 – $15
  • Quantity: 33.8 fl. oz.
  • Scents: lavender

Pros

  • Good value for the money.
  • Works with all fabrics.
  • It can be used when ironing.

Cons

  • Scent doesn’t linger.

Let’s face it; it’s annoying having to buy a new sprayer bottle each time you run out of product. This happens not only with linen spray but also with other cleaning products. Thankfully, products like Pre De Provence Maison French offer a refill bottle at a very reasonable price.

You get 34 ounces of liquid that you can use to refill your linen sprayer many times. The scent is just as you’d expected, perhaps a little diluted and not very long-lasting. Plus, they sell candles, essential oils, and even massage oils with the same lavender scent.

8. Caldrea Linen And Room Spray – Best Overall

Highlights

  • Price Range: $10 – $15
  • Quantity: 16 fl. oz.
  • Scents: eucalyptus and cardamom

Pros

  • Strong scent.
  • Works on all fabrics.
  • Versatile use.

Cons

  • Some claim they don’t like the scent.

This is the right product to try when you want something with a citrusy scent. If you like how it smells, you can try some of Caldrea’s other products, like their hand lotion or liquid dish soap. The scent reminds me of men’s cologne.

As for the linen spray itself, it’s a good-quality product for a reasonable price, considering you get 16 ounces of fluid. It can be used on just about most fabrics, and I love that you can use it in your car. It doesn’t have any animal-derived ingredients or dyes.

What’s in Linen Spray?

Linen spray is a versatile product that can be used to protect and enhance a variety of different textiles. Whether you are looking to keep delicate linens fresh between washings, give old clothes a new lease on life, or simply add a bit of scent to your home décor, linen spray is an ideal choice. How Does Linen Spray Work?

Linen spray works by using the power of essential oils to freshen up different fabrics. These potent plant extracts are known for their ability to improve the smell of any space, and they can even help to repel insects and other pests. What to Consider When Shopping for a Linen Spray

You should remember a few things when shopping for a linen spray. Here are some factors to consider

Scent

Jasmine, mint, lavender, lemon, and orange are just a few of the many aromas found in linen sprays. Floral-scented sprays like gardenia rosewater are also available. Some linen sprays, like one that smells like “new washing,” mix several fragrances. Lavender, for instance, has calming qualities, while citrus has energizing properties.

Ingredients

You’ll find both natural and synthetic linen sprays on store shelves. All-natural products don’t have any harsh chemicals, dyes, or other ingredients that could irritate your skin or damage your fabric. If you’ve got really sensitive skin or are looking for an eco-friendly option, choose an all-natural linen spray.

Size

Linen sprays come in various sizes, from small travel-sized bottles to large pump bottles. Choose a size that’s right for you based on how often you plan to use it and where you’ll be using it. For instance, if you plan on using it while traveling, a small bottle would be more convenient than a larger one.

Allergies

Some people may be allergic to the essential oils in linen spray. If you have sensitive skin or are allergic to any of the ingredients, it’s important to choose a hypoallergenic option. You can also test the spray on a small skin area before using it on your fabrics.

Price

Linen sprays range in price from around $5 to $30. The price will vary based on the size, scent, and ingredients. Natural linen sprays tend to be more expensive than synthetic ones.

Stain-free

If you’re using linen spray on clothing or other fabric, choose a formula that won’t leave any stains behind. Look for a product that’s specifically designed to be used on fabric, and that’s guaranteed to be stain-free.

Odor Removal

Some linen sprays are designed to remove odors from fabric rather than just mask them. If you’re looking for a product that will remove bad smells from your clothing or other fabrics, choose an odor-removing linen spray.

Bacteria Prevention

Linen spray can also help prevent the growth of bacteria on the fabric. This is especially beneficial if you’re using it on towels, bedding, or other items that come into contact with your skin. Choose a linen spray that’s specifically designed to kill bacteria and fungi.
