Overview

Luma Sleep is an American mattress and bedding manufacturer founded by three veterans of the United States mattress industry, and headquartered in Florida. The company has been in business since 2015. Luma Sleep mattresses are exclusively sold on the Luma Sleep website. They are not available through any third party, online retailer. The company does not operate any brick-and-mortar locations.

Products & Materials

Luma Sleep sells two different mattresses, and two Slumber Systems that include a mattress and a changeable top layer. The Slumber Systems’ two-piece design provides customers with the opportunity to select the desired degree of firmness. It also gives customers the option to adjust that firmness during the life of the mattress.

Luma Sleep mattresses and Slumber Systems are available in three different settings: plush, medium, and firm. The Natural Latex Hybrid Mattress, the Hybrid Slumber System, and Latex Slumber System, king-size versions only, are available in split plush/medium, and split plush/firm.

Luma Sleep also sells mattress toppers, pillows, sleep sheets, and adjustable bed bases.

A breakdown of the mattresses and Slumber Systems:

  • The Luma Mattress is the brand’s flagship model. This hybrid mattress is constructed with a Talalay latex comfort layer, and a pocketed coil support core. The cover is made from Tencel.
  • The Latex Slumber System is made with a two-inch natural Talalay latex pillow-top comfort layer that can be swapped out for another layer with a different firmness setting. The mattress has a natural Talalay latex transitional layer and a natural Dunlop latex support core.
  • The Hybrid Slumber System has a changeable, three-inch natural Talalay latex pillow-top layer, along with a natural Talalay latex transitional layer. The support core is made with pocketed coils and a high-density polyfoam base.
  • The Natural Latex Hybrid Mattress is Luma Sleep’s newest model. This mattress is built with a changeable pillow-top comfort layer, and a transitional layer, both of which are made from natural Talalay latex. The support core features a pocketed coil layer reinforced with a high-density polyfoam base.
