To help in regulating your temperature throughout the course of the night, this cover comes with a thermic phase-change fabric. It’s also plush and incredibly soft, so you can be assured of luxurious comfort as you sleep.

Second Layer –Endurance Foam with Unique TitanChil Feature

The second layer has an endurance foam with an added TitanChil feature. The TitanChil will prevent the mattress from overheating by facilitating airflow. How this works, is that the memory foam used in this bed is lighter than traditional memory foam mattresses. Hence, you’ll be kept nice and cool while you drift off into a deep slumber. The foam also has added support which helps to relieve pain and target your pressure points.

Third Layer –Energex Foam that has been Copper-Infused

Nest-Alexander-Hybrid-Mattress-layers.jpg

This layer will differ depending on which firmness level you decide to go with. While all three firmness levels of plush, medium and firm have the same 1.5-inch layer, they all have different densities. The medium firm has a 3.5-pound foam, the plush option has a 2.5-pound foam, and the luxury firm option has a 4.5-pound foam. Either than the different densities, all layers are also comprised of the same copper-infused memory foam. With the addition of copper, it has both cooling as well as antimicrobial properties. This Energex Foam layer also adds a little bounce to the mattress while helping to relieve pressure.

Fourth Layer –Support Foam

As the name suggests, this is a transition layer that helps the body in adjusting to the support coils in the layer below. The transition layer ensures that your body doesn’t sink in too much into the mattress but provides it with the support that it needs. The foam used to construct this layer is also punched to allow air to flow through and prevent overheating.

Fifth Layer – Support Coils

This provides a solid foundation to the bed and makes it a little bouncy and springy. Since the support coils are strong, they help to lift your body and prevent it from sinking in too deep into the memory foam. These support coils also help with motion isolation and absorb movement, so you don’t have to worry about disturbing your sleep partner during the course of the night.

Firmness

alexander-hybrid-firmness-option.jpg

The bed comes in three different firmness levels, and you can select the one that you prefer. The firmness levels are plush, medium and luxury firm. The medium is catered to all sleep positions and suited to side sleepers. The plush option is also suited to side sleepers that are petite. Whereas the luxury firm option is good for back sleepers since it provides that added support.

Feel

You will notice the softness of the cover and how lush it is since it’s enclosed with New Zealand Wool. The mattress will also feel cool to the touch, as latex material is known to help with regulating temperature. For the luxury plush side, you’ll sink in a little but not too much as the responsive latex material provides a little bounce. The gentle firm side is more suited to individuals who sleep on their back or stomach.
