Etekcity is an online retailer that specializes in consumer electronics, outdoor equipment, and home improvement products. They operate from four offices located in three different countries: China, Germany, and the US.
The company was founded back in 2011, looking to create products that would make people’s lives easier in terms of home improvement. They take pride in products that are rich in features, while also looking to always bring innovation into their research and development process.
Products & Materials
The company’s portfolio currently includes more than 100 products that falls under more than 15 different categories. Some of these products can be considered basic items that everyone should have around the house, while others are part of the “Smart Living” movement, using technology to enrich what would otherwise be a dull product.
Some of their most popular products include:
- Dimmable light bulbs, which can be controlled via your smartphone and a wireless connection.
- Dimming switches that are also compatible with LED lights and controlled via wireless.
- Blood pressure monitors that are rechargeable.
- Smart weight scales that are Bluetooth and wireless compatible.
- A camping air mattress, one of the most appreciated products for outdoor adventures.
Etekcity also sells water filters, thermometers, power cords, kitchen scales, lanterns, and others.
Prices
As always, prices vary depending on the category of the product at hand. Some products that are equipped with comfort and high-tech features will cost more compared to a basic version of that items. Some price examples:
- A pack of five extension cord cables cost $16.99, while a pack of ten costs $24.99.
- A body weight scale can cost anything in between $26.99 to $59.99 (for a wireless USB model).
- A table lamp with colored LEDs is priced at $24.99.
- Smart light switches cost between $29.98 and $69.99.
Warranty & Returns
To have all the benefits of Etekcity’s warranty, you have seven days from the moment you received your product to register it and receive extended warranty. If need be, you can initiate a refund within 30 days from the date of purchasing the product, for which you will need a valid RMA number.
Your money will be refunded via the same payment method as the one you used upon purchase. It usually takes about five business days to get your money back. You will have to send the product back in its original packaging, including the accessories and manuals you received together with the item.
Shipping Information
Etekcity takes on average about 24 hours to process your orders. Standard shipping is free across the entire US, and usually takes about three to seven business days to receive your package. Those that request delivery to PO boxes and military APO/AFO address may take longer to receive their products.
Note that Etekcity doesn’t ship any packages that exceed the total weight of four pounds, which means that, in some cases, you may be required to place multiple orders. At this time, there is no international shipping option available.
