I purchased my Flex Elite less than 3 years ago and it was a floor model. I am totally disappointed in it. I go to bed and within a short time I am in pain. I try different areas in my bed only to find that they are no better. Cannot stand this pain in my back so am looking for another mattress. Ridiculous to spend this much on a mattress thinking it will last many years and only last less than 3 years. I am looking for a good nights sleep and I do not get it with the Flex Elite…I will not recommend Tempur-pedic to anyone.

Had this mattress a little over two years – at first enjoying it. I am discovering the inequities of this mattress. First of all the “breaking in” period for the first 90 days – is actually the breaking in of your body! Just long enough to be past your return period. The “softening” over time is a euphemism for sagging – plain and simple. The foam component seems in tact – the coils however have weakened and no longer provide support. Waking up in agony from head to toe has exiled me to the sofa for a good nights sleep with no aches and/or pains. $4,000 down the drain! Tempurpedic faux Warranty covers nothing. Better off getting another brand. The store where I bought mine no longer carries Tempurpedic.

I was wondering what other people were saying about this mattress. I’ve been having trouble sleeping in my almost 4 year old Tempur Flex Elite. I’m waking up too many times at night and my shoulder blades hurt a lot. I always thought that this mattress was firmer than when we tried it at an Ashley’s. For about three years I slept ok but not truly satisfied. It’s almost funny that as I just finished paying the $4300 now I’m looking for a new mattress. I’m considering the serta icomfort mattress firm, and even looking into those purple mattresses. Luckily, there are a couple of stores not too far where they have both kinds and I’ve tried them. It’s just that I’m not ready to shell out that kind of money again. I wish I had done more research on the Tempur Flex Elite. I’m fairly small (120 lbs) and suffer from fibromyalgia and recently I’ve been having so many sleepless nights which only aggravate my pain. In the meantime I might just go with a gel memory foam from Amazon or Sam’s club. My sister got one for her King size, and it feels heavenly. I don’t recommend this mattress if you’re a lightweight.

I just bought the Weekends Only version, king, for $688.
It’s been great.
Not sure why I would spend $4200 as the Sams Club price for the temper-pedic flex elite, when the comparable Weekends Only version works just as well.
With the sales tax difference, that about $3800 or so savings!

I have now owned my temper flex elite for about 2 years and found that being a disabled veteran with back injuries it is the most comfortable mattress I have ever known ( I also own a Cloud lux, not as supportive ). I also owned the up base which helps control my acid reflux if not has completely eliminated the need for medications. I implore you to try the Flex line for its additional support and technology and don’t forget to get and adjustable base, it will truly help you get a better night’s sleep and get back the years that the turmoils of life have stolen from you! It’s never too late as long as their is breath in your body there is hope. Feel the new breath of life infuse your dreams and wake up a new person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you very much for your feedback Paul! I’m also a disabled Veteran with low back pain. I tried the Cloud Supreme Breeze, it slept cool but low back pain would sometimes get worse. Just ordered the FLex Elite and should be here in 7-10 days! I cannot wait! Very excited. Thanks again for your review, I plan to give one also.
