The Tarva Bed Frame Review: Research Before You Buy

The online business model has changed the way we shop. Buying the products you want and need is as easy as sitting in your living room in your pajamas while watching your favorite television show.

I was very happy with the lightweight design of the Tarva bed frame. I’ve used frames in the past with a solid-wood headboard, and they can be difficult to put together and take apart. The color is described as brown, which is pretty vague. I would describe it as tan or pale blonde, and I found the light color brought a fresh, bright aura to my dark bedroom. The color works well with most color schemes and is appealing to the eye.

It looks very much like Tarva, However, when you confuse the two, you run the risk of assuming the quality doesn’t reflect the cost. You get what you pay for, and the Fjellse bed frame costs under $100. You pay more for Tarva, and this makes a difference in durability. Here’s why:

On the Fjellse bed frame, the slats sit on a wooden ledge. Once warping begins, the slats will start to fall off.

The Tarva bed frame has metal ledges. They are better able to offer the support necessary for long-term use.

Not Much Clearance

Some people rely on the space under their beds to store things out-of-site. Others prefer to keep this area clean and clear. If you like to take advantage of this discreet storage space, it’s worth noting that you don’t have much clearance to do so. My Tarva frame only allows right around eight inches of clearance. That allows you some space, but not much.

Although I think the color of the Tarva bed frame is very versatile in terms of matching your bedroom, you may want to achieve a more customized look. The great news is that the bed doesn’t have a finish applied. This makes it very easy to apply your own paint or varnish to the raw wood. You can paint it to match the room or just change the original wood tone of the solid pine.

Slats Sold Separately

When your shipment arrives at your doorstep, you’re likely going to be ready to get it all set up and start using as soon as possible. That’s why I think it’s very important to point out that the slats are sold separately. You’ll want to order them with the bed frame in order to receive everything around the same time for immediate use. If you have a box spring, that will work, too. The frame does come with a center support.

A picture can speak a thousand words. However, looks can also be deceiving. It’s difficult to determine dimensional specs by looking at a picture, and this makes a very significant difference. The last thing you want is for the wrong size to show up and have to pay additional shipping charges for the correct product.

I found the overall design of the Tarva bed frame to be very fresh and pleasant, and I think the fact that the wood is raw makes it a great option for anyone looking to customize their bed frame. Even if you use it as-is, the pale blonde color is easy to fit into most settings.
