It’s easy to dismiss the claim, though, because you’ve probably bought cotton blend sheet sets before and found that the fabric is scratchy, wrinkly, or they don’t hold up well over time. Yeah, well, that’s because those blends are literal blends. These sheets are made a little differently. They’re made so that they look great on your bed, and they feel good against your skin. How? What to Expect If You Buy Linenspa Cotton Blend Sheets

I’ve reviewed other Linenspa products before and enjoyed them so I was excited to try out these luxury sheets. If packaging matters to you, then you’ll be pleased with how these sheets look when they’re delivered to your door. The clear packaging shows you the color of your sheets, mine was white, and the card in the front tells you exactly what you’re getting. I unzipped my package of sheets and immediately tossed them in my washing machine. As I was piling them into the drum of my washer, I felt the material and probably could’ve gotten away with throwing them on my bed as-is, but I wanted that freshly washed feel and smell.

After drying them on low, as suggested by the manufacturer, I pulled out the sheets to find that they do wrinkle a little. However, they weren’t nearly as wrinkly as my linen of 100 percent cotton sheets. My queen-sized bed is about 10 inches thick, which isn’t too tall, so when I secured each elasticized corner of the fitted sheet, I wasn’t surprised to find that there was quite a bit of fabric bunched up. I tend to have this issue with deep-pocket sheets. I just tucked in the extra fabric and didn’t worry about it too much.

So, you might notice that there’s a difference in color between the two sides of your sheets. That’s because this isn’t a typical cotton blend. Linenspa uses a different kind of weave for each side of the sheets. What this does is put the cotton side on the bottom or the side that touches your skin. On top of the flat sheet is the polyester side, which is the wrinkle-resistant side. That’s how you can have a great-looking made bed with fewer wrinkles but still have the soft cottony side against your skin as you sleep.

These sheets are a bit thin to me, which is surprising because these are supposed to be 600-thread count sheets. So, this leads me to believe that the total of 600 is reached in a different way than what is standard. Considering each side is woven a little differently, it could be that it sports 300-thread count weave on each side or something. In any case, I didn’t mind because it offered a more breathable fabric, which is what I prefer. I wouldn’t classify these as Percale or Sateen because it’s a blend, and they are neither crisp-and-cool or buttery soft with a sheen.

After one night sleeping on these sheets, I tossed them back in the washer and dryer to see if they’d come out a little softer and to see how they held up to the maintenance. As I suspected, another round in my laundry room helped soften the fibers a little. The wrinkles didn’t totally shake out, but a few tugs as I was making my bed helped loosen them a bit.

When it comes to color, Linenspa doesn’t offer a ton of choices, but you do get four classic shades that should fit your décor. I chose white because I always choose white – it works better with my different duvet covers than any other color. Had I chosen another color, though, it likely would’ve been the stone shade. There’s also an ivory and sand choice.

I didn’t notice any loose threads on my sheet set, and the stitching all looked solid to me. I’ll need to put these to use for a couple more months to see just how durable they really are, but if the few weeks I used these and washed them is any indication, this sheet set is going to stand up to regular use just fine.

If there’s any other thing I didn’t quite like, it’s that the pillowcases are generous in size. That could be a plus for you, but for me, my pillows got lost in them. I prefer a pillowcase that fits perfectly, but that’s just a personal preference.

Sheet sets rarely have features, but these come with a few different aspects than most other sheets. Plus, it’s a good idea to know exactly how these sheets will perform for you based on your preferences.

What You Get

It’s worth mentioning what you get in this sheet set because I recently saw that some exist out there without a flat sheet. This set comes with a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and two standard pillowcases (king-size sets come with king-sized pillowcases).

Cost

You may not consider the price of sheets because they’re a necessity, but after you buy a couple sets for different seasons, beds, and preferences, you start to notice how pricey they can be. The good thing about these Linenspa sheets is that they’re surprisingly affordable – even the king-sized sets. So, you can buy several sets, and you wouldn’t go in the red.

Thread Count

Linenspa stamped 600-thread count on the label for these sheets, and they very well may be, but they don’t feel like it. Typically, sheets that have that high of a thread count are thicker and have a bit of a sheen to them. These sheets are a bit thin and papery. One side is soft, but it isn’t luxuriously soft the way you’d expect of 600-thread count sheets.

Cotton Blend

Each side of these sheets has a different weave of cotton and polyester to create one side that’s soft, while the other has a wrinkle-resistant surface. The blend is 55 percent cotton and 45 percent polyester, but the side that touches your skin allows more of the cotton to come through. Because there’s a blend on both sides, you get breathable sheets that are soft.

Deep Pockets

The manufacturer made these sheets with corner pockets that are deep enough to fit a mattress that’s up to 14 inches thick. If you have a pillowtop mattress or use a mattress topper, this is great news. If you use a 6- to 10-inch thick mattress, this might not be the best news. On thinner mattresses, the fitted sheet can be too big, and you’ll have to tuck in the extra fabric.

Care & Maintenance

Taking care of these sheets is as easy as throwing them in your washing machine and then your dryer. You can use hot water, if you like, to help kill off anything that might be lurking in the fibers if you tend to have night sweats, or you can stick to cold one instead. The only thing the manufacturer suggests is that you tumble dry on low and don’t use chlorine bleach. If the few wrinkles that are present on your sheets really bug you, it’s safe to iron them.

Warranty

From what I could tell, there’s no warranty on these sheets at all. It makes sense considering the cost of these sheets, but there is a return policy. You have 30 days from the time of purchase to return your sheets. Linenspa even pays for the shipping cost for the return, and you’ll get a refund – no questions asked.

More Opinions

Knowing how others feel about the same sheets can help you come to a decision for yourself about this set of sheets. After all, not everyone is like me and prefers that crisp, cool feel.

It’s hard to say that these sheets are definitively thin or thick, soft or scratchy, or luxurious, as every person has a different opinion on feel. Considering the low cost of this set of sheets, though, you can likely afford to purchase a set and find out for yourself.
