I switch on the pump but the pump doesn’t fire up and inflate the mattress. It’s about 5 years old but only used occasionally. I checked and changed the fuse on the plug but still not turning on. Any suggestions@

Does the air pump stop automatic.
How much air will the mattress hold?

You have to manually stop when the desired amount of firmness is achieved. You can gauge this by feeling the mattress. When it starts getting very firm, it’s time to turn off the pump.

I purchased the Intex queen size raised downy mattress. I used it exactly 1 week & the mattress won’t stay inflated. I bought this to use until I can afford to buy a new bed. I know I didn’t spend a lot of money, but one would think it would last longer than a week.

I just bought one and it’s sagging in the middle. What do I do about that? Very disappointed.

We get a lot of feedback and complaints about Intex air mattresses and we always recommend to look at the soundasleep dream series or Instabed models because their warranty is a year and they are a higher quality air mattress.

Intex is inexpensive and with air mattresses you truly get what you pay for.

If this happened within 30 days and you bought from Amazon you’ll be covered under warranty. In some incases Intex has a longer warranty than the 30 days Amazon offers but most likely not.

Save yourself the trouble and take a look at the SoundAsleep.

In the last two years I have gone through 10 of these priced at $88.00. They are not “cheap”, as the post suggests, and each and every one of my air beds has bubbled right down the middle within 2 months of owning it, sometimes much quicker. I weigh 215lbs and this has happened to me with every air mattress. The seam undoes and there is nothing that can be done after. It causes a big “hump” down the middle and it is the most annoying and uncomfortable thing to happen when sleeping. There is no “gamble” when purchasing this air mattress, it will happen to your air mattress regardless of what this article states. These air mattresses from Intex are 100% garbage and way too expensive for a piece of plastic that never works. I’ve spent 1000$+ on these over the past two years and they are COMPLETE GARBAGE!

Hey Kurt,

Currently they are for around the $45 mark on Amazon. Their regular price is just under $50 and this is on the lower end. For this price I still think this is a good air mattress for what you are getting. If you are looking for something for everyday use, you should consider the SoundAsleep or go straight to a mattress as even SoundAsleep will tell you on their site that if you are going to be using this day in and day out, you should probably look at a mattress.

10 air mattresses in 2 years, surely some of them should have been covered under warranty. Take a look at some of our top recommended air mattresses and I’m sure you won’t have this problem.
