Seems like a neat idea. But this device burst into flames in the middle of the night. The fire completely incinerated my master bedroom. The smoke alarms alerted all occupants of the house to vacate. Luckily no one was injured. It took over a year to rebuild my home and my homeowners insurance paid the repairs of over $150,000. When the item is not in use, it should not remain plugged in to an active electrical outlet.

I bought my ChiliPad in March. In Nov. I discovered a small leak in the pad. Customer service says it must have been punctured and they only cover the warranty on the pad for 90 days, so I need to pay $250 for a new pad. This was definitely not a puncture. I am one of the most gentle and careful customers you will find. It is a quality issue and ChiliPad does not acknowledge that. Buyer Beware!!!

I wish I had found the Chilipad years ago! I’ve suffered for over 10 years from being excessively hot. Was waking up several times at night moving from one side of the bed to the other trying to find the cool spot. This is like a miracle for me! I started out with my temperature setting at 64 degrees. I think my final will be 67 degrees. I’m so happy with it and I just hope it lasts. I have a queen size bed but ordered the full size. The full size actually fits across the entire queen mattress. You do have to watch the water level, because within a week, it woke me up in the middle of the night beeping. I just had to add a little more distilled water to the box and it was fine. I’ll be checking it weekly now. Seriously, this is a God send to me. Yes it’s pricey, but comfortable sleep is worth the price. And I did get 25% off the price. It also works for people that are cold because it can be set from 55 to 110 degrees. I am not being paid by this company to endorse them. But, I will say it again, I LOVE my Chilipad!

I’m looking for something like this but I run a Rescue for abused Horses Dogs and Cats, how durable is the product if cats or dogs are on the bed, would I need to put something else on top to insure it’s not punctured.
