Thread count is 200, which is on the lower end of the spectrum but still within a good range for the expected softness of cotton sheets.

What You Get
When you order Casper sheets, you’ll get the standard package that includes one flat sheet, one fitted sheet, and two pillowcases. The pillowcases were quite a bit larger than my actual pillows, but I liked that because the bare end of the pillows wasn’t sticking out once I put them on the bed.
Convenience
The fitted sheet has little blue labels on the shorter sides to help you line up with the mattress. This is also nice, especially when dealing with larger sets (queen and king) that can be a struggle to set up properly. Great Stitching
I inspected the material of the Casper sheets closely, looking at the quality. I was fairly impressed with the pillowcases, where the stitching was practically flawless. Washing & Shrinking
My first test of the sheets was to check size and shrinkage. I laid the flat sheet on the bed (king size sheet and mattress), and I was able to tuck it in on all sides with no problems. If you sleep in a single direction – side, back, or stomach – you won’t experience problems with noise. This is only if you toss or turn a lot in your sleep.
Two-Tone Design
As with most styles, whether you like the two-tone design or not is based on personal preference. I feel that a single-color option – solid white or solid tan, for example – is more modern and crisp. At the same time, I had tested the grey and white set and the combo was very modern and went well with my semi-modern brown and grey décor. On the flipside, the colors would go well with a more traditional setting, too. So, it’s a versatile combination, for sure.
In addition, if you happen to have the Casper mattress, the sheets match the design, making it conducive to an even appeal with a theme. I was pleasantly surprised, however, to find that the Casper sheets were still fairly soft. The pillowcases are especially comfortable and make a little less noise than the sheets, and they aren’t as slippery, probably due to the fact that there is less motion in your head than the rest of your body. Of course, there are much softer sheets on the market, and these still tend to have a certain crispness that comes with the lower thread count.
According to the manufacturer, the lower thread count is optimal because, while the cotton material still offers softness, a higher thread count would weigh down the sheets and reduce breathability. While I haven’t found this to be the case in the past, I can’t argue with the fact that the Casper sheets do sleep cooler than a number of various sheets I’ve tested over time. Whether this has to do with the weave or the thread count, however, is uncertain.
If you’re looking for an ultra-soft sheet set, you should look elsewhere. However, I would give the Casper sheets a 4.5-5.0 on a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is the softest. I didn’t mind the crispness of the sheets, other than the way that it caused noise problems for me.

The good news is that Casper sheets are readily available through a number of online and storefront retailers, and the cost is fairly consistent, ranging around $200 per set. While this seems like a hefty price tag, I would consider it a reasonable investment in terms of durability. After several washes and dries, I found no damage or signs of wear and tear, which is definitely a positive detail to consider when purchasing sheets. Unless you’re one of those people who changes their style frequently, you might want to consider heading to your nearest retailer or ordering online so that you have a set of sheets that are longer lasting.
