There’s nothing quite like a comfortable chair to sit in at the end of the day. What if I told you it gets better? What if I told you there was a bean bag out there that was more than just a chair? The Big Joe XXL is filled with premium FUF material meant to soothe your body after a long day. It’s large enough to lay on, sit in, lounge with a partner, or cuddle with the kids on. It’s probably one of the largest bean bags that I’ve seen with the exception of one other. Let me tell you a little bit about Big Joe.

Breakdown Of Big Joe

Big Joe is both comfortable and functional. It is rather large, so make sure that there’s adequate enough room for it. The creators of this marvelous bean bag use a patented, one-of-a-kind seat filled with FUF. It’s a shredded mix of foam and memory foam. It can be fluffed over and over again without losing it’s comfort. This bean bag measures a whopping 7ft long and 75 pounds. It’s definitely a large piece of furniture. This lounger has a variety of sizes and colors that can be chosen from. So you can choose one that matches your decor, the color of your kids room, the style of your home and so much more.

Unboxing

This was one of the easiest bean bag chairs ever to set up. It came in a box, inside of some plastic and all you had to do was fluff the FUF. It literally just expands from there, but it takes at least 7-10 days to do so. You can see a video of how it’s fluffed right here.

Materials Uses

As mentioned above, This specific bean bag is filled with a mixture of foam and memory foam in shredded pieces, called FUF. The outside of it is a microfiber-type material. It’s very soft and comfortable to lay on. It’s also extremely stylish.

Setup

Setting this up is very simple. All you have to do is take it out of the box, remove the plastic, and fluff it up a few times.You may have to break up some of the foam that is on the inside, but it’s not as bad as some of the other ones. It didn’t take any effort and it was quick to do. It will take 7-10 days to completely fluff up, which is a little inconvenient, but worth it once it’s finished. The whole measurements are 84 x 60 x 40 inches.

Ease Of Use

This lounger is very easy to use. It pretty much remained stationary in my house since it was so heavy and I lack upper body strength. However, if you’re able to move it around, it can be used as one large couch or flattened a little bit to use it as a bed. I have company quite often and they love using it as a bed. It’s long enough so that their feet don’t hang off and when they want to sit up, they just fluff it up a little so that it resembles a loveseat.

Comfort

This bean bag is super comfortable. As mentioned already, it’s able to be put in to different positions. This is great for back support. You don’t have to worry about trying to sit up in a bean bag that sucks you in. This one does not do that. No memory foam sucking here. There are multiple ways you can get into this giang bean bag as well. You can flop, sit gently, pounce, and so much more. This was my husbands favorite chair to lounge in until my son took it for his own use. As you can see, it perfectly fits my husband’s 6’2” body and it wasn’t even completely fluffed up yet.

Washability

Unfortunately, this is one of those bean bags that can’t be washed. So if you spill anything on it or it starts to smell a little funky, you can only spot wash it. This might be an issue for some, especially if they don’t have the time to take a washcloth to every single spot that may be on their Big Joe.

Warranty

The only warranty that this company offers is a return if you aren’t happy with it within 30 days of purchase. You are also responsible for the shipping fees and a 15% restocking fee. This is one thing that I was not a fan of. I think that every product should have some kind of warranty against defects. Even if your product comes damaged, you can send it back for a replacement, but you still have to pay those fees.

Most of the users of the this chair boasted it’s comfort level. They love how big it is and how they can use it in multiple positions. There are also different color options to choose from and a lot of users like that option. The one thing that a lot of them had in common was the complaints about how heavy it is and how it can’t be washed. It is an inconvenience for most. Other than those things, users are head over heels in love with it and how it’s such a comfortable item.

Conclusion

The Big Joe bean bag is definitely one for the books and also has great ratings. It is super comfortable, it can be used in multiple positions, it’s stylish, and it’s affordable. It’s actually one of the most affordable ones that I have reviewed. It’s about one-hundred dollars cheaper than the most expensive one on the list. Set aside the fact that it can’t be washed and that it’s so heavy, it’s a pretty decent product.
