I bought the corded SleepPhones (to use with an iPod Classic) in Dec. 2016. Very happy with the audio quality and the comfort, but the cord went bad after 8 or 9 months, despite being gently handled.
The company sent me replacement speakers and cord covered under warranty, but the replacement went bad, also in under a year. They replaced it at no cost. I’m now on my third set of speakers/cord, and this set failed a few months ago, again after less than one year of use.
I contacted customer support, and got a nice e-mail back saying that they no longer offer replacements, but could give me a 10% discount on a new set of speakers. I tried two local small electronics repair services, but both said that the cord was too delicate to repair.
So – 3 sets of speakers, treated carefully, none of them lasted a year. I would definitely recommend against the corded SleepPhones, unless you’re prepared to replace the speakers regularly.

I too was a little unsure purchasing the headband headphones. Wasn’t sure if they would sound good or would die in the middle of the night. It passed.
My only concern is that the wireless charger doesn’t always work right. You have to move it around until you find just the right spot. Then later you find out that it didn’t charge.

I bought SleepPhones in December 2016 and used them every night. Loved the whole concept. Then a year later, they stopped working.
The company was very nice and offered to replace the bluetooth module and asked me to mail the old one to them. Unfortunately I couldn’t ship the faulty module because of the battery – post office refused to send it.
So good and bad:
Good
It’s comfortable and sounds ok.
Bad
It lasted a year.
I’ve since bought a by far cheaper Chinese version. Frankly, it’s better. It recharges without having to remove module. It’s comfy. It works.

Ask in a year.

Really nice, honest, and detailed review. Looking at all the reviews on Amazon were driving me crazy. Sometimes people get a little too picky. My main concern was battery time. I have used the corded Sleephones for awhile, but wanted to switch to Bluetooth as the cord was a pain. Plus I can’t charge my IPhone and use the corded SleepPhones at the same time. I think I am going to try out the new SleepPhones Effortless.
