Puffy Lux Unboxing

As you mattress shop, you definitely have plenty of options, and this can make things a little confusing. That’s why we’re here to help you understand all the details of what individual products offer. Yesterday, my Puffy Lux mattress showed up at the doorstep, and there are several reasons I’m super excited to try it out.

Check The Price

I’m especially interested to see how Puffy’s use of ClimateComfort™ materials work to keep my body temperature from fluctuating as I sleep. With the start of spring and warmer temperatures just around the corner, this is especially important.

Unboxing/First Impression

Good for All Three Sleep Positions

This product goes a step beyond Puffy’s signature mattress in that it includes a special body adapting Cloud Gel Layer that works with the base to relieve pressure points. If you’re looking for a product designed to work well with all three primary sleeping positions, this product is advertised as being a top mattress for combination sleepers.

Being an all-foam product, I suspect the Puffy Lux will do well at keeping motion isolated to the point of impact. I think, when combined with its compatibility with different sleeping positions, the Puffy Lux will prove to be a good option for sleep partners.

Eight Steps Ahead of Traditional Memory Foam

Traditional foam lacked in allowing proper air flow. This caused sleepers to wake up sweating and unable to get back to sleep. Puffy has incorporated years of research into the development of its cloud foam layer. While it still provides that hug you would expect from memory foam, it does so without all the heat.

According to Puffy, it performs up to eight times better in terms of airflow when compared with conventional memory foam. During our review, we’ll take an in-depth look in our heat transfer test.

Balances Comfort and Support

Based on my first impressions, the Puffy Lux feels like a very standard medium in terms of firmness, and this works well for most people as well as for sleep partners looking for something that’ll work well for both people.

I definitely pick up on the contour provided by the Cooling Cloud and adapting Dual Cloud layers, and the firm core support does kick in to prevent the heavier areas of my body from the excessive sinkage known to throw the spine out of alignment.

Of course, there’s a lot for us to learn about this mattress, and, over the course of the next couple weeks, I’ll be breaking it down to help you decide if the Puffy Lux is the right mattress for you. When you check back for our complete review, just some of the things we’ll thoroughly examine include:

  • Edge support
  • Motion transfer
  • Breathability
  • Durability
  • And a whole lot more!
