Overview
Happsy introduced its 100 percent, certified organic mattress-in-a-box to the online market in 2017. The mattress features a hybrid design, combining the contouring and cradling effects of latex with the support of pocket springs. The Happsy mattress is handmade in the United States, and features a longer than average warranty.
Products & Materials
Happsy mattresses are sold on the company website, and on Amazon.com. Happsy does not operate any physical stores or showrooms, and the mattress is not sold in any brick-and-mortar locations.
Beyond its flagship mattress, Happsy also sells a mattress topper, sheet set, pillow, mattress cover, and foundation.
The Happsy mattress is made without glues, adhesives, or flame retardants:
- The mattress starts with an organic cotton fabric, then a layer of quilted organic cotton batting, followed by a layer of individually pocketed springs with an organic cotton insulator.
- The next layer is comprised of organic latex topped with organic wool batting.
- The mattress is topped with an organic cotton stretch-knit fabric for a total of 10 inches in height.
- The sides of the mattress contain an additional organic cotton fabric plus batting.
The Happsy mattress may be sold with or without a latex topper, which is not integrated with the mattress and adds two inches to the overall thickness. The topper is also sold separately.
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), and the Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS), certify the Happsy mattress as organic. The mattress is also CertiPUR-US certified, which means it does not contain any harmful chemicals.
Prices
The Happsy mattress is available in six different sizes: twin, twin XL, full, queen, king, and California king. Prices vary, and are based on the size of the mattress, as well as whether or not a topper is included. Prices range from $899 for a twin mattress, to $1,699 for a California King.
The topper is sold separately in the same six sizes, ranging from twin to California King. The twin and full-size toppers are one inch longer than the mattress. Toppers designed for the twin XL, queen, king, and California king mattresses match the mattress dimensions. Topper prices range from $249 for the twin size, to $499 for the king and California King.
Warranty & Returns
Happsy offers a 20-year warranty, which is about twice as long as warranties offered by the majority of mattress companies. Happsy offers free returns, and 120-night at home sleep trial for all mattress orders. There is no mandatory break-in period, however the company recommends trying a mattress for 30 nights before requesting a return. There are no additional charges for customers who request a return and Happsy will coordinate the mattress pickup. The mattress will either be recycled or donated to charity.
Shipping Information
Happsy offers free shipping inside the contiguous United States, but does charge extra for shipping to Hawaii and Alaska. It does not ship to PO addresses, or international addresses. The delivery will be handled by UPS Ground or FedEx, and should arrive within seven days after an order is placed.
