The quilted top is filled with a spiral spun polyester fiber fill, which gives it a good bit of loft while maintaining its shape. According to the product description, you’re looking at about 11 ounces of the stuff per square yard, which I feel is not a bad distribution for what is more of a secondary aspect of this product.
It’s enough material to make it feel akin to a pillow top mattress, though perhaps not quite to the same extreme. The 100 percent cotton cover, featuring a thread count of 300, also goes a long way toward making your sleep that much better.
Keeping it Clean
Like all bedding, it’s important to keep your beloved pad clean. The Iso-Cool mattress pad claims it is machine washable, so I put it to the test.
After running on a light cycle with cool water and no detergent, then tumble dried on a low setting, this awesome product came out without any visible issues.
I tested this with the queen size bed cover, so your mileage may vary if you get to the larger sizes and try to wash with a home washing machine.
