Intex Recreation Corporation has been around for over 40 years. The company was founded in 1966 in California and is currently located in Long Beach, CA. Formerly, the company was known as “The Wet Set”, and the first inflatable product they put on the market was a beach ball.
Intex distributes products around the world and uses a network of retail partners to produce their airbeds, above-ground pools, spas, toys, etc. They have always claimed to provide high-quality products for safe, fun activities.
In 1997 they got into the above ground swimming pool market and made quite a “splash”.
Another interesting fact is that Intex sells products in more than over 100 countries around the world.
